Why do adults have to pay?

Can older children visit and watch their younger siblings without an adult?

Museum staff reserve the right to make case-by-case decisions regarding responsible children who are at least 16 years old watching younger siblings in the museum. However, in most cases, all children must be accompanied by at least one adult aged 18 or older. Please also note:

  • Parents under age 18 are welcome;

  • Adults experiencing diverse developmental abilities are welcome to visit with family members or DSPs;

  • Museum staff reserve the right to refuse service to visitors for violation of museum safety policies and procedures. This includes, but is not limited to, threatening or offensive language or behavior, trespassing, physical contact with other visitors, staff, or volunteers, etc.

Children’s museums offer opportunities for family learning as well as time to bond with family members.
