The Saturday seating will be at 11 am, and the Sunday seating will be at 3 pm.

Parking is free in SMJ Parking lot, accessible off of Third and Pearl Streets. If the lot is full, there is parking in a Diamond lot across the street, and street parking available.
$40 per ticket (per person), with three sandwich and treat courses served, each with its own child-favorite tea! We invite attendees to dress up for the occasion, and Adventure! will be providing a fun craft to complete while you wait. Exploration of the House is also encouraged.

NOTE: Please be aware that the SMJ kitchen is not set up to control allergens or specialty diets. We do try to make accommodations as we are able, but we need advance notice. Please use the note feature at check out to detail your needs. We are not able to accommodate Celiac with our kitchen layout.

Additionally, we kindly ask that all tickets for your party be purchased in one transaction. This allows us to properly organize and accommodate your group. Please note that we cannot guarantee that separately purchased tickets can be combined after the fact.

Why We Serve Tea: The Museum offers Afternoon Tea to the public on about 8 weekends over the course of the year. Often they are paired with holidays like Valentine’s Day or Mother’s Day and of course our very popular Holiday Teas in December. While fun for our guests, the teas themselves serve a very important function for us. They are one of our most important fundraisers we do each year. They provide the funds for the Museum needs to be able to stay open 6 days a week, display rotating exhibits of our extensive collections, and most importantly, provide educational opportunities for young and old alike. By attending a tea or one of our other events throughout the year, YOU are supporting our mission and ensuring that the Museum will be here to engage and delight many generations to come!

Continuing our cozy family tradition, Adventure! invites you to Gingerbread Night! Come decorate a gingerbread house built just for you, play in the museum after-hours, and (new this year), listen to magical gingerbread stories and live piano music.

Our candy bar regularly features more than two dozen varieties of candies, decorations, sprinkles, and icings. We do all the set up and clean up while your family delights in the magic of this event.

Warm beverages available. Registration includes a gingerbread house, icing, decorations, a take-home bakery box, and gingerbread people. Each gingerbread house purchase admits up to four people to the event.

March 31, 2017, Adventure! Children's Museum opened to the public! Our starter exhibit hall was approximately 3000 square feet in the former Terrace Cafe space here at Valley River Center. We had a campsite, a news room, a Lego table, a tiny stage, a dinosaur dig, an art room, and a pile of yoga blocks for building.

Our first day was SO exciting! We were an all-volunteer run, nonprofit museum, and the board welcomed a couple hundred of you over the course of that first day.

Some of you saw the same potential we did and you have supported us through ten years, two expansions, dozens of new and altered and improved exhibits (some of which have stood the test of time, others were prototypes that flopped). You have supported us through rent increases and snow storms, a pandemic and hvac outages and broken escalators. We went from all-volunteer to our current twelve full- and part-time staff members. And here we are! 15,000-square-feet. 40 exhibits. And no admission increase since 2023. Still nonprofit, still community-supported, still here for the public good.

Celebrate 10 years of community-minded, upcycled Adventures! Special birthday crafts and activities will be provided all day throughout the museum.

March 31 only, donate what you like for your admission -- could be something from our wishlist or a box of cereal for our Feed Your Neighbors pantry or $50 per person; you choose what gift to give Adventure! for our 10th birthday!

A whole decade! Wow!

Adventure!'s expanded space typically doesn't go over capacity, but our birthday may be a high-traffic celebration! There may be a short wait at the entrance.
