Adventure! DIY Cardboard Playground Week!
June 29, 2019
Bringing back a favorite activity from past summers (including our very first summer as a wee baby nonprofit, before we had a space) . . . It’s Cardboard! We’ll be reserving our Tree House and Art Lab for seven full days of cardboard box buildings, cardboard mask-making, cardboard cars, cardboard space helmets, cardboard campsite . . . basically if it exists and you can make it out of cardboard, you can do it here during Adventure! DIY Cardboard Playground Week!
** Parental supervision required. We will be providing cardboard saws and duct tape in this area. A nearby staff-person will answer calls for assistance, but the materials are best used under close supervision, or by kids age 9+.
This event will last all day every day from June 24 through June 30, and is included with regular admission.
Hair ties will be provided to help avoid run-ins with duct tape.
FAQ: Can we bring our cardboard constructions home?
Answer: We encourage materials to stay on-site to be made and remade over the course of the week. But, we also understand that kids may want to keep a carefully built cardboard item. We’ll leave that up to you, the caregivers, to decide! Probably yes, to a cardboard mask, probably no, to a seven-room cardboard mansion with poolside deck.
FAQ: 1Pass?
Answer: Yes. Remember, admission must be paid for non-passholders, including adults.
